Pyramid Partners with the National Congress of American Indians

In June 2010, Pyramid partnered with the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) to develop new ways to communicate with audiences about complexities in Indian Country, such as governmental rights and sovereignty. Pyramid conducted interviews with nine tribal leaders and five tribal communications officers from around the country. We combined the findings with our years of experience working on Native issues to design a tool kit for effective communications.

Pyramid’s founder John Hoyt and consultant Nicole Adams presented the tool kit and other findings from the interviews at NCAI’s mid-year conference in Rapid City, South Dakota. The goal was to provide Tribal leaders and communications officers tools to more effectively convey the intricacies and nuances of Native issues.
