Count Me In for Women's Economic Independence (Count Me In) provides resources and support to female business owners nationwide, with the goal of helping 1 million women entrepreneurs reach annual revenues of $1 million by 2010.
To promote its first Make Mine a Million $ Business event in Seattle, Count Me In chose Pyramid as its local partner. Since the organization is based in New York without a presence in the Pacific Northwest, we felt an aggressive outreach campaign would help Count Me In reach its goals for the event.
We assembled a high-octane steering committee and engaged local government, business and thought leaders. We forged strategic relationships with local corporations and enlisted Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire to give the keynote address. We hit the airwaves and the Internet with Count Me In's message of opportunity and reached out to nearly 1 million women. And we produced the event, overseeing all logistics from catering and stage production to exhibitor coordination.
The event surpassed Count Me In’s attendance goal of 400, drawing a rich diversity of women entrepreneurs to network, learn and compete for awards. But its success has a larger implication: Count Me In’s newfound stronghold in the Seattle area added to a growing community of more than 55,000 women entrepreneurs from across the country, bringing the organization’s goal closer to reality.
