Vision to share

The Washington Environmental Council (WEC) is a statewide advocacy organization that improves and enforces Washington State's environmental laws, bringing together a diversity of voices in support of a healthier world. WEC turned to Pyramid for assistance in the development of a five-year strategic plan that would guide and focus the organization’s work.

Pyramid worked with WEC to develop an intensive process that engaged the board, planning workgroups and a strategic planning committee of staff and board members. Pyramid initiated the process by interviewing 12 people from outside WEC to assess the organization's strengths and weaknesses. We then worked closely with WEC's strategic planning committee to review and refine recommendations from the planning workgroups. Pyramid facilitated a final, two-day planning retreat and the resulting decisions were crafted into a strategic plan.
